The Sprout Up fall tour – coming to a city near you!

*Note from the Sprouter team: We are postponing our Sprout Up Boston and Sprout Up Chicago events until the New Year in order to ensure we have a vibrant audience of entrepreneurs, and so we can focus on the Sprouter launch. Stay tuned on the blog for the rescheduled dates and info.

At Sprouter we’re all about the power of creating an online community for yourself as an entrepreneur. But we also realize the power of face-to-face, and the importance of entrepreneurs learning from experts on entrepreneurship topics and from fellow startups. That’s why we hold our Sprout Up events in cities around North America – to bring together the local entrepreneurship community, local startups, and a knowledgeable guest speaker to provide tangible takeaways for the audience. So far we’ve held Sprout Up events in Toronto, Ottawa and New York City, and we’ve had a great response in each city. We’ve hosted guest speakers like Gary Vaynerchuk (Wine Library TV), Stuart MacDonald (Expedia, TripHarbour), and Mike McDerment (Freshbooks) on themes like social entrepreneurship, new media, and cultivating community; and we’ve seen presentations from up-and-coming startups like Rypple, Fonolo, NetworkHippo, and many more.

Today we’re excited to announce that we’ll be visiting 3 cities in our fall Sprout Up tour, 2 of them new locations. Two of these events will be part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week festivities, and one is the official UK launch of GaryVee’s new book Crush It! We’re bringing word of mouth and community engagement expert Saul Colt with us to one of the cities to share his unique approach to cultivating a community for startups. Sprout Up Montreal - Join us for our very first Sprout Up Montreal on Tuesday, November 17th at Brutopia from 6-9pm. This event is part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, and will feature guest speaker Saul Colt and local startups including SmartHippo. Sprout Up Toronto - Join us for a special Global Entrepreneurship Week edition of Sprout Up Toronto on Wednesday, November 18th at The Pilot from 6-9pm. The theme for the evening is student entrepreneurship. Guest speaker Matthew Corrin from Freshii will be talking about his journey as an entrepreneur, and his company’s unique use of social media. Sprout Up London - We’re hosting a very special Sprout Up in London – it’s our first event there, and it’s also special because it’s the UK launch of GaryVee’s book Crush It! Sprout Up is a free monthly event for forward-thinking entrepreneurs to gather and mind-meld. A great chance for startups around your city to get friendly, discuss current trends, and network in a casual, open, and focused setting. Attendees will walk away with new insights, new friends and actionable ideas for their businesses.

Sprout Up is made up of three main components:

Innovation Demo – Pre-selected entrepreneurs share their innovative business ideas to the audience
Guest Speaker – Fabulous new speakers will be brought in to spur new discussions on relevant trends and ideas
Networking – Network with peers: share knowledge, experiences and drinks
