Sprouter now open for everyone
Just under 3 months ago we launched Sprouter, an online collaboration tool for entrepreneurs. We launched in private beta so we could work tirelessly behind the scenes fixing bugs, adding features and determining future functionality. Since we launched in private beta we’ve added features like follower notification e-mails and invitations, have received some incredible feedback from a small community of entrepreneurs and have held “Sprout Up” events in cities like NYC to bring together local entrepreneur communities in an offline setting.
Today we’re extremely excited to announce that we’re launching Sprouter in public beta – inviting any entrepreneur around the world to visit Sprouter.com, sign up for a free account, and seek support from other like-minded people around the world. Sprouter asks entrepreneurs the question “What are you working on?” – answering this question encourages other members of the Sprouter community to offer tips, support, resources or other relevant members to connect with, all in 140 characters or less. Typical social networks allow you to connect with people you already know – whether your friends, family, or former coworkers. The idea behind Sprouter is that it’s the people you haven’t connected with yet but who share common goals and interests who can be the most valuable resources. Join the community, create a profile, and start connecting with other entrepreneurs globally – the community currently has members from all over the world, including India, Australia, Europe, and North America.
Check out a video tour of the site below:
Our goal is to further facilitate and enable connections between entrepreneurs around the world and cultivate a community of support. We have big plans for the next few months – we’re adding exciting new features like a mobile application; a recommendation tool to help you discover people, topics and events relevant to you; and much more. We’re also embarking on a five-city Sprout Up tour in Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Chicago & London – more details here.
We’re excited to debut to the public today, and we look forward to the continued feedback of the community – don’t hesitate to leave comments or suggestions on the site or e-mail them to support@sprouter.com. We love hearing new ideas on how we can do even more to help build an amazing community for startups. You can reach the Sprouter team individually by visiting their profiles – CEO/Founder Sarah Prevette, Senior Developer Grant Hollingworth, and Community Manager Erin Bury. We’d love to hear from you.

Have you tried out Injoos Teamware. I would reckon that they have the most comprehensive integrated collaboration platform. With their latest release they have added a new twist to track and execute projects “the social way”. Checkout their Blog http://injoos.com/blog/2009/10/09/seamless-collaboration-with-release-35/
