Sprouter acquired by Postmedia Network Inc.

And now, the announcement you’ve all been waiting for…

We’ve been acquired.

Yup. Pretty awesome turn-around, hey? We know. We’d love to tell you it was all a part of our strategy… but well, we all know it wasn’t.

We’re thrilled to be back and to announce that we’ve joined forces with the incredible team at Postmedia Network Inc.

Postmedia has a rich history of creating world-class content, engaging audiences and forging strong businesses. We’re excited to be able to take advantage of their in-house expertise as we continue to build Sprouter.

The whole team is back – (Erin, Grant, Vince and Sarah) –  and we’re ready to rock.

We’ve got some exciting new initiatives to share (that’s another announcement you’ll have to wait for) and we’re excited to continue with our existing initiatives - Sprouter Weekly, our Sprout Up events, and of course – our online Q&A.

So, stay tuned. This is an exciting step in our evolution and we can’t wait to get back to serving you: the founders who are doing great stuff around the world.

Thank you for rallying around us when times got tough – we couldn’t be more humbled to be a part of such an amazing community.

Here’s to the future!

Cheers,

The Sprouter Team

Sarah Prevette, Founder

Grant Hollingworth, Director of Technology

Erin Bury, Director, Content and Communications

Vince Duquette, Senior Web Developer

Congratulations Sprouter, and kudos to Postmedia Network Inc. for ensuring a site as worthwile as this one is sustained.
The world is talking jobs, well jobs dont happen without entrepreneurs and start ups. One would think the gov would be supplying grants for a site like this instead of some of their wasteful expenditure .
Best of luck for the future.

Congrats Sprouter team! Reminds me of the success of Classic Coke after the launch of New Coke… When asked if Coca Cola planned it that way the CEO said “We’re not that dumb, and we’re not that smart”
