Kicking things off with a bang
When we thought about how we wanted to debut Sprouter, we knew it had to involve two things: a patio to enjoy the summer weather & all of our community members & friends. We decided to hold a launch party at the London Taphouse in Toronto on their amazing rooftop patio. We invited all of our past event attendees, our friends, local entrepreneurs & startups, and other community supporters. We wanted to announce our new company, but we also wanted to say thank you to everyone for supporting us over the last several months. We’ve been working hard on Sprouter for some time now, and everyone in the community has been so awesome in giving us feedback, testing out the new site, coming out to our events, and rallying around us.
This doesn’t go unnoticed, and we sincerely thank everyone for being part of the Sprouter community. Thank you for coming out to hear our news, and for being early adopters on the site. We look forward to opening up the site to the rest of the world very soon, and to adding the features you have all suggested. We’re also looking forward to getting back to our regular event format at our next Sprout Ups – one in NYC next Wednesday, August 26th with guest speaker Gary Vaynerchuk, and one in Toronto on September 9th with guest speaker Mike McDerment, the CEO of popular local startup Freshbooks. We created this collage from the photos our friend Chris Glynne took at the event – see if you’re in it! Also check out the full set of photos here.
