It’s Global Entrepreneurship Week!

Today kicks off Global Entrepreneurship Week, a world-wide event devoted to inspiring young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity. The week was founded by the Kauffman Foundation, and runs from November 16th-22nd. It connects entrepreneurs through local, national and international events and activities – participants will include students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, non-profit leaders, and government officials. There are four goals for the week:

  • Inspire – introduce entrepreneurship to young people who may not have previously considered it as a career path
  • Connect – network individuals and organizations across national boundaries
  • Mentor – active entrepreneurs engage with aspiring or new entrepreneurs to lend their expertise
  • Engage – demonstrating to policy makers and opinion leaders how entrepreneurship is vital to a nation’s economic health and culture
