    Not only can it be expensive, it can be expensive when it is not done correctly. As an attorney who focuses on trademark, copyright, advertising and promotion law, one issue can affect many different topics. Is your trademark one that promises and makes claims? I had a client who had to change the mark because it violated advertising laws. Many different issues can appear - other than, "Someone else is using my trademark."
